Video: La Tomatina Festival, Buñol, Spain

Busabout La Tomatina / Spain

It’s that time of year agin when the tiny town of Buñol just outside of Valencia in Spain comes to a stand still for the annual La Tomatina Festival, the world’s largest food fight as some 22,000 people cram into the narrow streets. La Tomatina is one of those bucket list things you need to do at least once in your life and I was fortunate enough last year to experience all the craziness of this event last year while travelling around Europe with Busabout.

Busabout have a couple of different packages when it comes to La Tomatina, I opted for the three night hotel stay and Busabout are one of the biggest providers of tours to La Tomatina so they were using three hotels to house the large amount of people going to La Tomatina. Busabout will confirm with you and send out an email to everyone a week beforehand advising of the three hotels that will be used which were Hotel VeneciaHotel Continental and Hotel Casual Valencia and also advised that another email will go out confirming which hotel will be the one you are staying in.

The best way to do La Tomatina is with a group tour as you get to experience the festival with like minded travellers and gain access to experiences such as the La Tomatina after party and also get the opportunity to go on a group excursion to see a Flamenco Show and head out for a few drinks on the town in Valencia.

Below is a video showcasing the epic time that I had during the festival and if you want to book your La Tomatina Festival experience you can so so through Tourradar where you’ll get some great discounts by clicking here.
